Thirteen Mimics is a bizarre selection of videos that imitate the interests of his conservative interlocutors. Payumo's work addresses ideologies antagonistic to his, hiding subversive messages behind music and poetry innocuous in appearance. Alternatively, Lei's work also aims to represent his own principles and love for contemporary practice, such as a story exemplifying itself as a piece of modernist literature. Payumo creates a curious antagonism that strives not to end in fracture by using a strategy that takes the human qualities of his interlocutors at hand while circumventing the online anonymity that hides it, addressing not their beliefs, but themselves.
