This artwork exposes the barebones of a friendship through the inadequacy and awkward comedy of a quasi-theatre/live artwork. The works’ energy draws upon the fun, often cringeworthy and lighthearted semiotics of a feminist friendship and is a subtle rebellion against the dominant hetero-romantic relationship we see in pop culture today. Story telling a tale of two individuals whose duality takes over their individuality as people, they demonstrate an orientation to others that is often misunderstood in today’s world.

The work aims to point a mirror at the audience and consider where they stand in their own relative ‘duo’ or ‘pair’ and might ask themselves: which persona do I relate to?
