“My artworks are a merge between illustration, video art, collaborations and durational performances. They explore concepts revolving around friendships, duality, power dynamics, immersion; taking influence from different socio-political events through-out history and pop culture to fuel theories and help develop my projects.

Recently in collaboration with artist Kate Spink, we have acknowledged our shared interest in these themes and use our friendship as a backbone to inspire and direct our artwork. Our work has developed and grown by drawing in more ambitious themes such as comedy, cringe factor and awkwardness as they play an important role within our friendship.

These same themes were the seed that began my illustrated comic series, exploring a more personal visualisation of our friendship; retelling true, cringy, awkward and comedic scenarios and events.”

“From the rural North East of England and studying Fine art in the centre of Lincolnshire. As an artist, I recognise the importance of creating innovative and engaging artworks that have the potential to engage new audiences and raise awareness for the arts in regions where artistic engagements has yet to reach its full potential.

My works aim to offer intriguing artistic engagement in these locations such as “Word of Mouth”, an underground style backyard exhibition exploring DIY rave, and “The Living Will Envy the Dead” an innovative audio walk, exhibiting cutting edge technical devices such as QR code activated audio walks around the city of Lincoln.

The subject matter that dominates my work is often ‘the social’, taking an interest in the nature of relationships and social experiences in today’s world, particularly nodding to social embarrassment theory, cringe factor as well as bizarre comedy and often the understated theme of fun, which are often translated in amateur theatre/film installation."
