Rhianna Dobbin
The social impacts of technology are the basis of Rhianna Dobbin’s practice. Working in a multi-disciplinary capacity, her work is mainly based in installation. Social Media takes centre stage in most of her artworks, taking a critical stance on its effects both to her personally and the world surrounding us.

Her current work is preoccupied on the nostalgic elements of photographs and the tension between real life and its documentation. It is through personal photographs collected over the past three years that Dobbin displays her reflection and her mourning over the imminent ending of university life. This sadness has only been enhanced as the impact of the coronavirus prematurely ending the university semester, therefore causing a lack of closure.
