This piece is a performance and installation, shown through an edited video. This work is about me giving myself back to nature and the ground, all while highlighting my space in the world around me. I call this work narcissistic as it is about me and my reflection on space. The work is set in a large gallery room where I lay and walk through the soil on the floor; the audience are encouraged to join me. I want the space to be overwhelming but also playful. We as humans take over the natural world and this is my way of giving myself back.
