Katie Hiscocks’ practice comes from a desire to present audiences with observations of shared public spaces. Hiscocks wants the viewer to have an awareness of human activity through the remaining physical impacts. Do You Notice Me Now? introduces these remaining traces of evidence in an innovative way.

Do You Notice Me Now? is an installation piece umbrellaed under video projection, depicting clues to activity in our shared public spaces that conceptually tell a narrative. Hiscocks focuses on the idea of how we take these spaces for granted by presenting details of mundane mistreatment in an innovative way.

Due to the current lockdown measures, Hiscocks has responded by adapting the installation to represent how our freedom of activity has been compromised, showing this by placing the installation behind wire fences. It acts as a memorial to the life we had.
